Boothie — Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 August 2026

These terms apply when you use the Boothie app. By using Boothie you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Using Boothie

Boothie is a photobooth app for taking, styling and sharing photo strips. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. You are responsible for the photos you take, import and share.

There is no sharing between users in Boothie

This is worth stating plainly, because it changes what these terms need to cover. Boothie has no feature that sends your content to another user. No feed, no discovery, no messaging, no comments, no profiles, no way for a stranger to find you or send you anything.

An earlier version had Duo Strips, which let two friends build one strip together. It is not in this version. If we bring it back, these terms will be updated first and it will be obvious in the app.

So when you save or share a strip, that happens through iOS and whichever app you choose — Messages, Instagram, TikTok, anything. We are not involved and we receive nothing. What you send, and to whom, is between you and that app, and their rules apply, not ours.

You are still responsible for the photos you take. Please don't photograph people who haven't agreed to it, and don't use Boothie for anything illegal or to infringe someone else's rights.

Your content

You keep ownership of your photos, completely. We do not ask you for any licence over them, because we never receive them. Boothie does not upload your pictures, does not use them for any purpose of ours, and does not use them to train anything.

Boothie+ and purchases

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to Boothie or its servers, automate access to our systems, or use the app to distribute spam or malware.

Availability

We aim to keep Boothie working well, but we provide it "as is" without warranties. Features may change or be discontinued. The referral feature depends on our server and may be unavailable at times; everything else in Boothie works with no connection at all.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost photos or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and if you are a consumer you keep all your statutory rights.

Ending access

You can stop using Boothie at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access to our referral service if these terms are broken — for example by automating requests to it or attempting to abuse the reward. The rest of the app works without our servers and is yours to keep using.

Complaints and appeals

If you are unhappy with something in Boothie — a decision we have made, the way we have handled your data, or the app itself — you can complain and we will deal with it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, nothing here removes the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
